Cameron Dezfulian, MD

Dr. Dezfulian is board certified in both adult and pediatric CCM, a background which has provided an excellent synergy to serve as Inpatient Director for the Texas Children’s Hospital’s Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) unit where he was recruited in Summer 2020. This followed nearly a decade as a translational researcher in cardiac arrest at the University of Pittsburgh and 2 years at the University of Miami. Dr. Dezfulian presently cares for adults in the ACHD ICU and Baylor St. Luke’s medical center cardiothoracic ICU and children in the pediatric cardiac ICU. In the past, he has served as attending in adult and peds ICUs focused on cardiac, medical, surgical, neurological, trauma/burn and obstetric disease. Dr Dezfulian is active in the AHA, with leadership roles on CPR guideline writing groups and as a vice chair of the Resuscitation Sciences Symposium. Dr. Dezfulian is active in the Christian Medical Dental Association for over 10 years, hosting student groups from Pitt and Baylor College of Medicine and teaching medical missionaries abroad since 2019. He serves in his church children’s ministry and Casa El Buen Samaritano, a Houston free clinic devoted to spreading health and the gospel. Cameron married Audra in 2011, and she has an MS in leadership and evangelism from Wheaton College and works on directing small group ministry in the church. Since 2012, they have been blessed with 3 children: Emily, Nicholas and Michael.
